FITMIXX THEMED EVENTS
When there is a FitMixx theme night we go ALL THE WAY! The playlist and choreogrpahy is built entirely from scratch to suit the theme. There are no filler tracks, every routine is themed to give you a fully immersive experience.
Particpants often choose to come in fancy dress, although this is of course optional. The theme nights always create a special buzz within the FitMixx community. As well as our annual Halloween and Christmas theme nights there have been numerous one off specials, and plenty more to come!

Excellent Rihanna theme nightS....
Highlights included dancing with our Umberellas to "Umberella" (of course!), "S&M" which got lots of giggles and of course the beautiful cooldown to "Diamonds"....

GREASE THEME NIGHT: SEPTEMBER 2022
Go Grease Lightening! Our FitMixx social event which was a Grease theme night party was a great success. We had fun dance-along routines, a Grease photo booth, free popcorn, a film quiz, a dance off and a prize for best costume!
PRIDE ZUMBA CLASS
WOW WOW WOW! It was totally fun and fabulous to do our PRIDE themed Zumba classes. In support of love and acceptance for all. As you can see we all dressed in rainbow colours and strutted our stuff to some Pride anthems...from Britney and Kylie to Lady Gaga and Ru Paul. It was FIERCE!!!
QUEEN ELIZABETH II JUBILEE CELEBRATIONS
We had a ball with our special Jubilee themed classes on the bank holiday Thursday and Friday. HRH even made a special appearance (as did my Cockerpoo dog Hudson)!
Thanks everyone for coming. It was so lovely to have some of the classes outdoors in Gosforth Central Park and the sun was shining!
DADDY YANKEE ZUMBA: 2022
Check out the photos below from my Daddy Yankee theme nights. The “King of Reggaeton” Daddy Yankee announced his retirement after decades of making music! He is an absolute legend in the Zumba world. Come along to dance to all his classics including “Gasolina”, “Despacito”, “Limbo”, “Firehouse”, “Rompe” and more! So of course we had to celebrate my dressing in the colours of his native PUERTO RICO and dancing to all his best tracks.
CARNIVAL THEME NIGHT: 2022
We had the most amazing CARNIVAL THEMED Zumba sessions, full of Brazilian Flava and Caribbean Heat…plenty of Soca and Samba rhythms brought the energy and classes to life!

ZUMBA 11 YEAR CELEBRATION: 2021
What a wonderful trip down memory lane for the 11 year Zumba celebrations. And an awesome playlist full of favourite song requests from participants...the "best of the best" from the past 11 years! I was blown away with my unexpected gifts, especially photoalbum featuring photos and messages from participants.

PITBULL PARTY: 2021
What a party! Mr International has so many Zumba songs it was only fitting that we dedicated an entire class to his awesome latin pop music...Fireball, Timber, Don't stop the party were just some of the favourites. And check out the pictures, we all wore Pitbull's trademark sunglasses and even had a guest appearance from Mr 305 himself...
ROARING 20'S AFTERNOON : 2021
We had a FitMixx private party at Prohibition cabaret bar. The ladies all looked fabulous in their flapper dresses. We were transported back to the Roaring 20's!
I led plenty of super fun Swing and Charleston dance routines and we had great vocal entertainment from special guest singer Hildy Harland.
What a lovely way to spend the afternoon socialising with ladies from FitMixx classes and a chance to get glammed up of course!
BACK TO SCHOOL: 2021
Great fun popping on our school uniform and cheerleading costumes.
I never thought I'd do an Alice Cooper song in Zumba but "School's out for Summer" was an absolute must and went down a storm!
We also had lots of other school themed songs and no-one got put in detention.
PRIDE: 2021
We had such a blast at PRIDE themed Zumba (socially distanced at the time due to restrictions), our special sessions during Pride month to celebrate and show support for and celebration of the LGBTQ+ community!
The playlist was fierce and everyone looked fabulous. We strutted, vogued and danced to everything from Todrick Hall to Ru Paul to Britney to Kylie.
What a party and it was so lovely to see everyone enjoying themselves so much!!
JLO VS SHAKIRA: 2020
I held this JLo Vs Shakira night to celebrate these two awesome Latin Divas, in honour of their stunning Superbowl half time performance.
SUMMER PARTY: 2019
Our Zumba beach party was so much fun. Summer themed songs a plenty, dances with neon maracas and even a game of Limbo!
SPICE GIRLS: 2019
The long awaited Spice Girls reunion tour provided the perfect opportunity to go back to the 90's for this girl power inspired theme night.
They say Spice up your Life...and the FitMixx crew definitely did just that!
ABBA 'MAMMA MIA': 2019
Who doesn't love an opportunity to dress up in flares and sing-along to the greatest hits of ABBA!?
I know we have lots of fans of ABBA and the film Mamma Mia in classes, so couldn't resist this theme night.
GREASE: 2018
This night was to celebrate the 40 year anniversary since this iconic film was released!
The FitMixx Pink Ladies and T-Birds were absolutely brilliant dancing to all the classic hits including Greased Lightning, We Go Together, You're the One that I want and Summer Nights!
INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY: 2018
I wanted to do something special to celebrate all of the awesome women that come to my classes. I have mothers, nurses, managers, professors, business owners and everything in between.
The playlist was full of empowering and uplifting songs, all from female vocalists.
SHAKE YOUR SHAMROCKS: 2017
St. Patricks Day takeover! Complete with Irish dancing and Irish flags. Spot the leprechaun.
BEYONCE: 2016
Beyonce broke the Internet yet again, when she dropped an unannounced album overnight!
With all the hype surrounding this I thought it was a great time to have a look at her biggest solo hits and also some of the great tracks from Destinys Child.
MICHAEL JACKSON: 2015
It was hard to choose just 15 tracks for this 'King of Pop' theme night.
Everyone practiced their best moon walk and 'hee hee'!
NEON NIGHT: 2014
Disco lights and neon fancy dress were the order of the day for this theme night.
ANNUAL HALLOWEEN SPOOK-TACULAR 2011-2022 so far!
The FitMixx Halloween bash has gone from strength to strenth, with costumes getting even more outrageous and spooky each year!
Due to COVID-19 the 2020 Halloween Zumba was held in line with covid restrictions (capped attendance and socially distanced) - but we still had a great time!

ANNUAL CHRISTMAS ZUMBA 2011-2022...so far!
What started as one Christmas theme night each year has evolved into FitMixx Festive Week...a whole week of Christmas classes and social events to end the year.
The Christmas tracks are so happy and so much fun to do, everyone leaves full of festive spirit.
